Alt J Breezeblocks Music Video analysis -ARD416 Media and Techniques

One of the music videos that ive decided to analyse is Breezeblocks by Alt J.

This is a creatively interesting video because of the way that it decides to show a narrative. The video of presents the narrative in reverse by starting from the ‘end’ to the ‘beginning’. By manipulating the chronological order of the narrative it keeps the audience interested and more invested into the video as the information if getting feed to them in an unconventional way.

The close up shots thought-out are the longest (time) shots in the piece. These particular shots are this length to show the audience that there are information within them. For example at the beginning we see a girl underwater then it cuts to a man with and ring on and then cut back to the girl showing here hand and there is no ring on it. this shows that they are not married or there is something wrong.

I love the execution of this video and i will be using some techniques in my video.
